THE GREEN LIGHT SUMMARY
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
In this game, you are playing a platformer game as Jay Gatsby in your pink suit. Your Goal for this game is to collect wealth in the forms of bright gold coins and multicolored silk shirts, and eventually reach the green light. Unfortunately, despite collecting lots of gold and multicolored silk shirts to display your wealth and status in hopes of luring the green light to you, the green light remains out of reach. You may notice during gameplay, right before your character reaches the light, the game stops you in your tracks and progresses to the next level.
LEVEL 1: THE VALLEY OF ASHES
LEVEL 1 is the first main introduction of the Eyes Of TJ Eckleburg, with his eyes constantly overlooking and following your character. This level remains the most difficult level, because at this time of the book, "the light" is still a false dream. The background is dark and gloomy, with all the wealth being behind many obstacles that will take your lives away one by one if you come into contact with them.
LEVEL 2: THE WEST EGG GALA
In level 2, the game becomes easier, you throw a party in your giant west egg mansion. Additional wealth is more easily accessable and no obstacles exist to stop you in your tracks! The background becomes a brighter purple and more full of life. Hopefully displaying your wealth in this manner will lure the light closer to you.
LEVEL 3: THE BUCHANAN PIER DOCK
Level 3 is the "closest" your character will get to reaching the green light, the environment is an ominous yet hopeful bright green, and the level is possible to be beaten just by simply walking forwards. The idea of reaching the green light seems more possible than ever, only to be deceived again right before reaching it.
END SCREEN:
After completing level 3, your character is sent back to your own dock across from the green light. Was what you made the green light out to be all this time truly real? Or was it just a false dream?
